Rev. Billy Graham's cover photo for Time magazine is innocent enough in and of itself -- but when you look at it superimposed over the Time logo, it looks like someone drew devil's horns on him. Say your prayers!

The cover article, headlined "The Pastor In Chief," focuses on his "intense private and public relationships with every President going back to Harry Truman." The article does not mention, however, how Graham once said he thinks AIDS is a judgment of God.
Perhaps this cover is someone's judgment of him?

To be fair, he retracted that comment almost immediately after he said it.
That is a disturbing cover image. I'd say it must have slipped by an editor unnoticed, but I might be with you - is does feel a bit planned.
It's really hard to come down on Billy for that comment. I think the majority of the straight community thought the same thing at the time, including myself. Oh, we might have called it an "indirect judgement" for violating the natural laws of God, but yeah, many thought the same thing.
Just goes to show that we're all SCP'ers.
Crazy...I actually have that issue, and I never even noticed. Well, looks like I'll be burnin that one.
The guy was/is an anomaly for sure though. They called him the pastor without a church. You gotta give him props for hangin with politicians though...that can't be easy or fun. His message is/was a little to positive for my tatste though. Mostly it sounds like he was just called into the White House to agree with whatever those guys said or wanted to hear. What influence he may or may not have had is questionable IMO.
I gotta devils haircut in my mind.
